Scott Addis is a seasoned professional, business advisor, and inspirational author. Scott is the current CEO of Beyond Insurance, a coaching and training firm that empowers risk management professionals to capture unrealized potential through growth mindsets, metrics, and process orientation. Scott is recognized as an industry leader having been finalist for the Inc. Magazine’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” award, and recipient of the “25 Most Innovative Agents in America” and The Franklin Award for outstanding achievement and contribution to the insurance industry. He is also a transformational author and speaker, writing SUMMIT: Reach Your Peak and Elevate Customers’ Experience – helping one to reach their full potential. Scott’s articles have been published in noteworthy publications such as Forbes and CEO Magazine. Recent articles have focused on issues such as mental well-being, fear of failure, grit, emotional intelligence, self -confidence, resilience, humility, and the inner game. A priority of Scott’s work identifies quantifiable assessments that drive human performance. A graduate of Princeton University, Scott was a psychology major with a concentration on the mental side of athletics – focusing on athletes in high pressure situations and learned helplessness. While at Princeton, Scott distinguished himself on the athletic field, All Ivy in both baseball and soccer. As a Haverford School alumnus, Scott was a three-sport captain and sits in the School’s Athletic Hall of Fame. Scott is an active member in the community, currently sitting on the Bryn Mawr Hospital Foundation Board. He also served as a United Way Key Campaigner and on the boards of the Main Line Chamber of Commerce, Starfinder Foundation, Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital, and The Haverford School.
